Who is EngineWorks?
EngineWorks is an innovative online Search Engine Marketing (SEM) services company headquartered in Portland, Oregon that provides sophisticated ROI-based solutions to enhance the design and performance of Web sites. We enable some of the most successful companies on the Internet, including Marvel Entertainment, RockResorts, and Shilo Inns, to expand their presence online and acquire more customers through search engines.
Why is EngineWorks sponsoring this contest?
We are animal lovers. Therefore, we want to use our professional resources to help others within the animal advocacy community. We, along with many of our clients and business partners, enjoy the comfort of coming home to our pets, and we want to extend our appreciation to those who protect and care for our small, furry friends.
What can I win?
We are offering a free 3-month Search Engine Optimization (SEO) engagement that is designed to improve the search engine visibility and relevancy of the Web site of your favorite animal advocacy organization. This engagement will improve the presence of your organization-of-choice within the world’s most important search engines, and will enhance their ability to secure donations from individuals searching for their animal advocacy services.
Why is SEO important to my organization-of-choice?
Professional SEO ensures that individuals are able to find information pertaining to the wonderful services your organization performs for companion animals. In addition, every online search conducted for the organization represents a potential donation.
How do I enter this worthwhile contest?
It’s simple . . . all you have to do is write and publish a blog post to your Web site proclaiming why your organization-of-choice is a great cause, and why having more people find its services through search engines is important. Then, simply notify EngineWorks of your entry through one of the following two (2) ways:
- Create a link within your blog post on your Web site to the following EngineWorks Web page: http://www.engineworks.com/helping-animals/
- Notify us of your blog post through Twitter.com with the following message and hashtag:

What specifically do I need to include in my Tweet?
You must include a link to your blog post, and #helpinganimals hashtag.
Do I have to re-tweet anything?

Can I submit more than one blog post?
Multiple entries are allowed, but they must be in the from of unique blog posts on separate domains.
Will creating multiple blog posts help my chances of winning?
Entering multiple times through unique blog posts on separate domains will create more than one opportunity to have a blog post pertaining to your organization-of-choice be considered the best blog post. Thus, multiple entries MAY increase your chances of winning.
However, as stated, each blog post pertaining to your organization MUST contain unique content, and MUST be published on separate domains.
When is the entry period?
