Search Activity Continues to Surge

resizedimage430215-20_percent1Another indicator of the importance of online search marketing was revealed last week.  In a report released on June 16, 2009, Nielsen Online announced that the total number of online searches in the United States increased more than twenty percent (+20.3%) in May 2009 compared to the same month last year, from 7.8 billion to 9.4 billion.

This newest evidence reveals that more and more individuals are researching and purchasing more and more products and services through search engines than ever before.  Also contained in this report are the current market share percentages for the most popular search engines in the country.
