Americans send about 75 billion text messages a month, up from around 30 billion a year ago, according to the latest industry surveys. ComScore: Cyber Monday Spending up 15 Percent

The Monday after Thanksgiving has become a very important day for online retailers, representing $846 million in spending this year alone, which is up 15% from last year, according to ComScore.

Cyber Monday is the second strongest day of the year for retailers, as many people return to work and log on to find out the latest and greatest deals from their favorite stores.
