EngineWorks Presents “Funding, Valuing & Selling” at SMX Seattle 06.03.08

On Tuesday of next week, 06.03.08, I am excited to participate on the panel session titled ‘Funding, Valuing & Selling SEM Businesses’ at the Search Marketing Expo (a.k.a. SMX Advanced) in Seattle, Washington. This informative session will be held from 3:15pm to 4:30pm at this industry-wide event, immediately following my first panel presentation titled ‘Creating Value in Your SEM Business’.

This second panel presentation will deliver real-world insight into the process a founder goes through when considering the sale a search marketing venture. In addition, Michelle Goldberg, Managing Partner at the Seattle-based venture capital firm Ignition Partners, will provide an overview of how a VC firm assigns a valuation to an SEM company. Also on the panel is Rod Lenniger, EVP & Chief Administrative Officer at iCrossing, who has overseen the acquisition of several SEM entities in his current position.

This rarely presented session is being moderated by Chris Elwell, President of Third Door Media, the promoting company of SMX Advanced.

SMX Advanced is being held at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center in downtown Seattle on June 2 and 3, 2008. The conference also boasts two industry renowned experts as its keynote speakers. The conference will be opened with a presentation from Kevin Johnson, President, Platform & Services Division, at Microsoft. This first day of the event will then end with a presentation by Matt Cutts, the head of Google’s Webspam team.

Please reach-out to me through our blog, so that we can meet-up at this exciting conference.
