The Most Effective Web 2.0 Offering

Social media offerings and buzz words are flying around as fast as Harry Potter books are flying-off the shelves. However, an interesting study by the American Advertising Federation (AFF) reveals that of all the current “new online media” services (which includes search, and Web 2.0 methods such as online video, podcasts, and blogs), search engine marketing is consider by U.S. advertising executives to be the most effective.

Here are the results of this AAF new online media study from November 2006, as reported by eMarketer.

Search marketing continues to be considered most effective due to both the target-ability and measurability of the campaign. It’s important for professional search marketers to always stay abreast of cutting-edge methods and techniques that can improve the ability of our clients’ sites to be found by customers and qualified visitors. And, at the same time, it’s also very important continue touting the supremacy of proven search engine marketing with respect to rapidly achieving and exceeding ROI results.
